        Looking great so far. It doesn't look like you're filling the corner/crevasse between the scoop and hood... why?

          It will be caulked with a body seam sealer. Getting closer to that point.

            Did a test fit with the new air cleaner. The steel hood is still on it so I couldn't close it the hole is to small. I bought a 16" aluminum pizza pan and cut a 12" hole in it. Then I screwed it to the bottom of the base so the screws are under the seal of the filter. Then I put a seal around it. I will also put the same type of seal around the hole in the hood so the two mate together.

                              looking good! keep up the good work, cant wait to see it all complete and on the car... oh dont forget to check and replace your furnace filter if its full fiberglass, bondo dust

                                Put some ppg high build primer over the bodywork and seam. I applied it with a foam roller for good build up. Then I will block it down and reprime it.
