I have to agree with that.

    • Good job. You stuck with your guns and got a lot of people that didn't originally think it'd turn out good to admit it looks good.

I'm avoiding taking the Camaro because of the production that was made about last year. . . I might enter it, but I'm afraid there might be some hard feelings against me still from last year, and I don't want to stir up controversy.

        • Thanks for the kind words, guys. I'm pleased, overall, with the results I was able to obtain doing this myself. I know the hood is going to move around more in the middle, which is why it is not anchored to the metal hood at all other than on the sides and front of the hood. I'm not worried about it cracking, I found a place where I can get my paint for about $70 a quart, the same color as what I have, so repainting isn't a major concern. . . I've got a $600 SATA spray gun, 65 gallon air compressor, and a 2 car garage that is soon to be completed for painting, I'm not worried. . . lol

Thanks, OT, I usually don't get much respect around these parts when I say I want to do something unique. . . Most of the guys who saw it at Woodward yesterday were liking the hood, and I like it, so it's all good.

                        • Well, I don't really have any performance mods in the future, but I'm hoping to make this car a pretty good looking cruiser. To be honest with you, and I know most of you won't get this, but I'd like to keep the 3.4 in it as long as it's still running. This car means a lot to me, more than it should, perhaps, and I love it the way it is, I don't want to turn it into any less of a daily driver than it is. I know if I try to swap a V8 into it, it won't go in until I build the hell out of it, and I don't want that. I love driving my car, and I want to be able to afford to. I will let you in on a few mods I do plan on doing, however. . .

                          Exterior Appearance:
-SS Spoiler (If I can afford one)
-Body Kit, RS front peice or RKSport full kit
                          -2" drop
                          Suspension:
                          -Drop Coils
                          -New Shocks/Struts
                          -New LCA's
                          -Polyurethane Bushings
                          -Adjustable Panhard Bar
                          -Performance Sway Bars
-Subframe Connectors, don't know which ones yet
                          -Strut Tower Brace

Well, all of the suspension is my priority now, mostly because we all got quite a scare last night, we hit 80mph, and the front end was up in the air and the front end started swaying from side to side. Also, the suspension bottoms out when you get on it with too much weight in the back, preventing a proper launch with anything more than 200 lbs in the back. The appearance is pretty minimal stuff because I know what I want, and most of it is already done. Custom paint, comprised of House of Kolor Tangelo Pearl with Black stripes will be done soon, the body kit is something I've wanted for a while, I think it would look badass with a 1"-2" drop. Just my ideas. I should have jumped on the 1LE suspension peices I saw cheap a few weeks ago.

                          • 2" drop and a body kit huh, good luck with that. you are going to have to drive around in a parking lot and never leave unless you want to scrape the gfx.

sfc's and stb are pretty pointless for a 3.4 unless you are heavy into autox and add some more power

New LCAs I would stay away from if it is just a cruising car, if it was a drag car then yea LCAs, you are not getting wheel hop from your 3.4 with no performance mods and you don't need the binding from new LCAs

what happen to that spoiler extension you got from "1dangv6" that he made? Give up on that project?

just giving ya some pointers to save ya money in the long run suspensionwise
