I would suggest staying away from the colored light of the spectrum. Here is a great post from another forum I'm on. It explains it quite well.Originally posted by Gregs_gsxr View Post10K its a perfect score ! great color and still bright enough to see anything you want
4100K which is actually slightly towards the yellow side of "white", which is 4300K, and is the optimal K temperature to maximize efficiency of the light produced given the energy put in. A typical 35W HID at 4100-4300K puts out about 3000 lumens. Step up to 5000K and you're now down 10% or about 2700 lumens. Then you get about a 100 lumen drop for every 1000K you go towards more colour. You primarily lose efficiency due to mixing in other gases that when turned into a plasma, produce coloured light, and with less efficiency. By the time you get to 12000K, you're down about 40-45% of the light you'd get with a 4300K bulb.
HID's in the 4300K and under spectrum will be perceived by the human eye with the greatest contrast and resolution. Beyond that and it actually gets worse. Have you ever noticed that when you have high Kelvin coloured HID's in the rain that it looks as though you've lost a tonne of light? Same principal.
I'm not saying don't go with coloured HID's. If you want it, you want it. Whatever, it's your money, your car. But if you go more coloured you do lose light.2013 Cadillac ATS

Color is a personal preference (and I believe I said that in post right above yours). But so is usable light and visibility.Originally posted by Gregs_gsxr View PostI already have them in my rides, for at least 5 yrs, no problems except i have to replace the relay once.
