yea theyll reflash it if they have an update, but even then they arent going to "check" for modifications unless they are suspect of them is what i was saying. (for the purpose of woiding a warranty) mechanics need to be fast to make money, they arent going to snoop around if they dont have to.-Joel

mechanics don't have the ability to see what the calibration is. I have many friends at GMOriginally posted by JoeliusZ28 View Postyea theyll reflash it if they have an update, but even then they arent going to "check" for modifications unless they are suspect of them is what i was saying. that depends on the mechanic because many buy their own tools. No its not in their job description to be messing with that, which is why I said they arent likely to check it. rather if they suspect a modification they just reflash it and its done.........Originally posted by BLKHAWK View Postmechanics don't have the ability to see what the calibration is. Ive never meet a mechanic who buy hp tuners or efi live etc. a laptop and then get a stock bin. file then compares them. And if anyone was ever worried about such a thing, i'd just tuner lock it.Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View Postthat depends on the mechanic because many buy their own tools. Stating that mechanics wont do something is different than saying they dont have the ability to, because Ive worked at a dealership before and there are hobbyist mechanics like you and I that know what they are doing and do many of their mods in the shop after hours.
all a tech working on a customer car is going to do is reflash and go on with is dayLast edited by BLKHAWK; December 23rd, 2008, 02:40 PM.-Joel
