have you thought about possibly using a LT1 power steering resivoir & hose? (looks to be about the same location, just opposite sides of engine bay)

no I haven't. interesting, I will have to look into that. any pics at all? I was just going to move it to the side of the radiator and add a longer line

If you look at the second picture, the power steering is the pulley underneath the alternator.

well I just ordered some more nitrous jets. I have some more 100 shot, 125 shot and 150 shot jets coming...remember there is going to be a combination of jets being used, can you say 200+ shot broken into the two stages.

Engine I am told is suppose to be finished this week, lets hope and pray that it is as I am going to be rushed to get this thing ready for the M&G. If the engine takes longer than this week it pretty much is not happening for the M&G deadline due to all the tuning and work that it would take to make it streetable to it.

Update: Heard from the guy building my engine.

first set of bearings had the wrong clearance that he ordered, they got some new ones in and tried them today, everything was perfect for clearance. Assembly is going to be done tomorrow. Hopefully by next weekend I have the engine. However it is looking rather doubtful that it will be done for the M&G The engine builder has had it too long and the time I need to get it ready is quickly dwindling. The car is just sitting now waiting for the engine to come in. We shall see though, maybe some late nights and help from some peeps I can have it at the M&G.

Its good news the motor will be back soon but honestly its nothing to rush Travis. In your case see what you can do with a few guys but make sure its done correctly first and foremost, best of luck on getting it back together and tuned up.

Well, it is official, the car will not make the M&G.

Good news is that the engine builder got the short-block together and the cam degree'd, just has to finish up the top end and such and get it out to me. He is going to work some more on it tonight

I was going to try and cram it in to get it to the M&G but I am instead going to take my time and do everything right the first time. I would rather not get half way to the M&G and something go wrong.

Oh well, at least I can ride in my bro's SC'd v6 I can take pics this way. ha

hmm, another road block. The P&P heads that I purchased for the build need some work before going on. Got a message today from my builder who was checking the heads before putting them on the engine since they were used. Here is what he said:

had the heads apart cleaning/inspecting them before installation and I was lapping the valves just to be sure all the valves were seating right and half of the #5 exhaust seat is pounded out like the factory induction hardening was thin or gone. That cylinder at a minimum is going to need an exhaust seat and possibly the other 5 after we start cutting the seats. Both heads will need a valve job after this to keep all the valve depths equal.

I am just glad he caught it before getting the engine in and running it. Plus it will be a fresh valve job.
