Can't beat that! That's how we did TastyZL1's cam swap so cheap. Most of the parts were purchased used but new.Originally posted by 97rs4life View Postwww.abbottracingheads.com/gm.htm
Check that site out, that is who did these heads and their cam.
A little over 1600 for stage 3s, and 305 or something like that for the cam
I got the cam second hand from a guy who bought it from abbotts, but never installed it, so it is brand new in the bag yet2005 Yamaha R6

about 260-265 rwhp is a decent number to shoot for NA after tuning. If I had longtube headers then this same setup could do 271rwhp as that is what has been done before with the cam and head combo. Having the holden intake makes it hard to figure numbers because I will be the first person to try them out on a fbody v6.Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View Postwhat are you expecting N/A?
So numbers could be higher.
I am not to worried about NA though, I can add 200hp with nitrous easily after some jet changes

Didn't buy them new, they have been on a car already but are in great shape.

guess i see it the other way because the next guy can add 200hp with nitrous tooOriginally posted by 97rs4life View PostI am not to worried about NA though, I can add 200hp with nitrous easily after some jet changes
You should hit 11s no problem whatsoever on that kind of shot though. 470rwhp is enough to run a 10 with the right tire.-Joel

yea but I don't have 2 extra cylinders so I don't care what a v8 can do. I like my v6 just like you like your lt1. Why don't you get a ls1, they have more power from the start over an lt1.Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View Postguess i see it the other way because the next guy can add 200hp with nitrous too

See what I am saying. So yea, if you v8 guys can leave the v8 talk out of this thread please, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I edited my post, wasn't referring to you directly, just know the way the thread was heading it was going to go to v8 vs v6 and I want to end it before it startsOriginally posted by JoeliusZ28 View Posti said nothing about v8s??? sorry------------------------------------------

I fully understand what you are talking about Travis. I'm planning on building a 3.4 this winter. I understand it's not going to put out what my LS1 does (not even close) but it's what the gf wants in her Camaro. She wants to be different then any other a$$hole that does an LT1 conversion.2005 Yamaha R6

well you said "your LT1" so seemed a bit directed. for the record i never plan to run nitrous so i would have to concede to you having the faster/better car.-Joel

Me too! Especially in 3rd and 4th gen Fbodies. I mean a GN or GNX is sweet but a 3.4 shutting down an LT1 is bad ass!!!Originally posted by JAdair View PostI like readin up on V6's that can beat some V8's

3.4s are very buildable engines, its too bad the factory didnt seem to know what they were doing with them.
Travis have you considered eventually changing to a TH400 or 4L80e? sounds like youre making enough power to take advantage of the close ratio and sustainability benefits one has to offer.
And i still think a 10 is possible if everything goes right.-Joel
