6LE makes one. LG motorsports made (Makes?) one. then of course theres the "universal" ones.

I didn't want to dump $400 into a bent piece of steel, so was hoping somebody had a used one. doesn't have to be 6le brand/design

6LE charges about double what everything they make is worth, only because no one else competes with them on most of their stuff. I bought mine from Fred here, and I don't think he'll ever forgive me for what I bartered him down to MunsterZ28

I'd also like to get one of their splitters but im not willing to pay even half of what they are charging.

Yeah the prices on their harness bars are insane. $350 for some bent tube?

Schroth makes a DOT approved 3-pt harness that mounts to the oem rear seatbelt mounting point (so you know it's not going to rip out) that's what I'm using because I plan on cutting the roll bar that my car came with out.

The 6LE bar mounts to the rear seat belt mounts, so youre good with that one too as long as you dont plan on anyone sitting back there... Probably shouldnt with a bar for their head to slam into anyway.

I agree with Joel, They are too expensive to buy from 6LE.

I am going to spend a little more and have a 4 point roll bar. It will weigh more but it will add structure and will be safer in an accident

I figure I'll skip the bar and just get a cage. In the mean time I will be using the seat adjuster to cheat.

Nobody will be in the back there's no seats back there anyway. I like the purpose of the harness bar and don't need a roll cage. So if nobody has a used one it looks like I'll just have to cough up the cash..

I'll see if I can dig up the article later tonight. In an issue of Camaro Performers, they installed one on their Camaro. Black Betty.. IIRC the price wasn't to bad either.

Agreed on the 6LE stuff. Ridiculously priced

Maybe Superman09 would be willing to take on a special project. He's got the ability to do full exhausts so I think he can do the mandrel bends in tubing... I know it's not the same thing but it's worth a shot.

I would be shocked if Johnny had a manual pipe bender.
Most people who build mandrel exhaust buy the bends in bulk and assemble the exhaust. A mandrel bender is big money $40,000+

But a bender for roll bar tubing isn't very much
