Well, doing one last check to see if anybody has heard of anything. I've found a few GMMG's ($350-$450 range) for sale on various sites, but if you're not on it the second it's posted, it's already sold. I'm getting close to ordering a SLP LM2. The Madhammer system is still $625+. Would like to get my mods done here before the weather turns (hopefully). Talked with my local muffler shop, they tell me to custom make the catback with a bullet muffler would be about the same $$$ as just buying one and installing it myself. So, within the next few weeks, that's the plan.

I have had that in the back of my mind. I just wish a could hear it in person, I can't find a good clip of it on a stock car. Not sure it's going to loud enough for me. I need something quite a bit louder than stock, but not obnoxious. That's why I'm hoping, going off youtube clips, that the LM2 will be a good fit. The GMMG/Madhammer would be perfect, but out of my price range new.

Not sure what all you have done to your car that would make it sound different from mine but I have the stainless steel magniflow on my car and I like it a lot. It's not super loud on the inside but sounds great when its revved up. I'm replacing the alternator tomorrow and if you wan't when I get it running a can take a video of it. I think it would sound a tun better with a decent cam, but that is a future en devour for me.

The GMMG systems are firmly in the obnoxious range, they just sound nice while they're doing it. It's really no quieter than an LM1.

I have always ran Magnaflow due to their sound. So clean and crisp, yet a huge bump from stock! Just an option!

I have a Phab system from eBay, its very similar to the LM1 system. I love it so far. Might be worth looking into.

I have a LM1 setup in the garage that I'll let go cheap. I pulled it off the roller and put on my Hooker exhaust because I knew it would be way too loud w/o even hearing it

I might be interested in the lm1. Maybe we can work out a trade with the ls1 intake?

Depending on how cheap you're talking, I could swap in the LM2 bullet as long as the LM1 resonator is not welded. What tips? How much? Pics?

Get the best of both worlds. Put on the Magnaflow system for a sanity check and, in front of that, plumb in an electric cutout. Loud and obnoxious when you want it to be and quiet and legal when it NEEDS to be... A friend of mine has these on his blown '05 Mustang and his CTS-V.
I got cutouts for my van build here... Excellent quality and you won't beat the price...
