The hooker aero chamber has a decent tone and is really reasonable.

Hooker sells the whole cat-back also, magnaflow is not loud on a LS1. If you want noise and still have stock manifolds and cats. go with the slp loudmouth I or II but beware, Justin on here got a ticket in Livonia for excessive noise and had to change his exhaust and pay quite a bit. if the cats. are gone or with longtube headers you do not want the slp or it will be insane loud.

my borla has a nice low rumble to it.. ..even with the longtubes. definitely makes a distinct noise, but not insanely loud by any means

My Borla was far from quiet and it had the smallest plate in it. I got pulled over for it but the cop looked the exhaust over and sent me on my way.

I can't usually hear Liz's car running...it's pretty quiet, IMO, but sounds really nice.

with all of my emission stuff my borla catback wasn't all that loud...just had the nice borla tone. even now with lt's, ory, and no cats if my rpms are low it's not obnoxious. never had any problems with cops and there are plenty of them around
                              just my $.02

Nice memory Todd! Yep, I was pulled over at Plymouth and Middlebelt for loud exhaust (SLP LM2) and was given a fix it ticket (21 days to comply). I switched over to the Magnaflow system, headers back which was almost $600 plus a few other misc costs. The first few weeks I had the Magnaflow system, I hated it. After time, it broke in and I have to say, I love it. It has a nice low rumble, the cam sounds good and when you step on it, it really wakes up. If you are just cruising, you hardly notice it, which I like.
