Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

That would be perfect Sean, nope I have 3.23s right now Joel. After doing some research just now I don't even think I'd be able to run 4.10s without going with a 28" tall tire. With my 26" MTs it says I'll top out 3rd at 121mph and that isn't taking into account slippage from the converter so the steepest I could go is 3.73
Also I don't need the brakes as I have no problem swapping my stuff over.
ok i just talked to him and it looks like were gonna go snap some pics and stuff tomorrow since its at his parents house in his dads garage.. i will keep you updated
That would be great, thanks again Sean. Do you happen to know anything about it? 3 or 4 channel? gearset ect?
I completly understand where you are coming from Joel and I agree it would be best to stick with the stock gearset but thats not going to happen. I don't expect this rear to last long but I'd like to see what it can do at the track with some steeper gears. There are a lot faster auto cars than mine that have 10 bolts so maybe I'll get lucky, maybe not. Either way I understand the risk its just against my nature to not improve my cars ET when something breaks so I have to try.
Ryan, I still plan on buying a 9" but with a wife, kid, mortgage and the debt we currently are trying to get rid of its gonna take longer than this winter. Either way I'm getting ready for you in the spring
yep, I totally understand that. I just dont want to see the car on the sidelines this summer with a broken rear!
do you guys think an anti roll bar would help the rear end at all or is it gonna make things worse. I am planning on buying one but was wondering if I should wait for my 9". I just though that with the car flexing and twisting less that it might be less strain on the 10 bolt. any thoughts on this?
the only problem with doing it now is that you will have to buy axle mounts again when you get the 9 inch since you will be running larger axle tubes
Very true but aren't axle mounts just half circles that are flat at the top and mounted with Ubolts? Just like leaf spring perches? If that's the case I don't see them being very expensive at all.
I did know about the axel mounts as that is an option when ordering but if that is the only negative thing this may be something I will be installing this winter to try and get both wheels up of the ground.
Not meaning to thread jack but is there any difference between these "anti roll bars" and a "rear sway bar" ? I know this sounds like a dumb question but I've always heard them called roll bars and now I see everyone calling them anti sway bars when talking about cars with serious power...
