Ebony, I actually would like to replace the lights in my gauge cluster and this could save me the time from doing it myself...

We can figure out a way to do it if you want to, no problem.

Thats a steal! I'll see if I can tear the cluster and radio out without pulling apart the whole dash. Truck is a 2004 F150... Couldn't tell you if it's LED or incandescent though. What do you think turn around time would be?

Once I have them, assuming they are LED already, a couple of days tops. A little longer if I need to layout a PCB to replace incandescents.

Figure about $40 for the cluster, takes a bit more in materials and time to replace bulbs and make it look right. What color would you want it?

Just a bright white is perfectly fine.

Hey Mike here's what I've done so far with just bulb swaps, what other kind of stuff were you looking to do. I know we talked about it a little bit. http://www.mifbody.com/vbulletin/sho...r-LED-lighting

You'll have to tear that whole dash out, and trust me its not easy or fun.

Just saw some pics of the parts Mike is working on for me. . . I'm always impressed by the quality of work he does.

Post 'em up when you get a chance, Mike, I'm sure others here wouldn't mind seeing what you can do!

                              Aww shucks, I'm blushing. Lol.

Got the dome light done, I'll throw some pics up in a bit. Looks like the early 4th gen headlight switch, HVAC unit, and cluster are going to be a bit more of a challenge. Converting them to LED is no problem, changing the color is a bit more problematic. In order to shift the color from the stock incandescent bulbs, they painted the back of the overlays red. Grrr. Its a terrible way to do it, knocks your light output in half, and taints any other color you try to shine through it.
                              So what do we do?
I'm looking into having replacement overlays printed. Basically, a scan of the original face printed on a thick transparency then glued back in place. They will have a slightly smoother feel than the stock ones, but also have the added benefit of you can customize them if you want. Add names, add pictures, whatever you want. Let you know how it works out.
                              Damn, this is fun!
