  • WTB: Turbo 400

Looking for a reverse manual valve body turbo 400, with or without trans brake, built internals as well. Also looking for any parts that will help me put one in my 98 ls1 camaro.

I haven't seen how much power you're looking to put in front of it. There is a low mile th400, Jasper rebuild, for $425 in Kzoo.

You will need the crank spacer and a little massaging of the flex plate hole to fit IIRC. Manual VB is about $450 with the trans brake, I'd upgrade the sprag as well to a 34 element

to me I would rather buy a core and have it built by someone you trust so it will be right for your application and they should offer a warrenty.

Lol I hit the wrong button.

And I'd love to do that but don't have the funds to build one.

i was looking everywhere and found tons, but all where in the 1200-2000 range for a manuel valve bodied 400... so i ended up settleing on the th350 thats semi built but its a BOP (buick old pontiac) so i had to get an adaptor plate

what kinda power are you going to put through it? a decently built th350 will take the same power a th400 will, and the th350 weighs less...

It's going to be a streetable drag car. So 1000HP? Lol I want to get the trans part over with it.

So you want a trans that's good to 1000HP for $400?? Good luck man. Better get your wallet out. Like I said in the PM, I was quoted $1800 for a TH400 by a well respected local builder.
