Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

You'll honestly prob be stuck with it through the winter Jake unless you give it away. GLWS though. Pay the ticket though, and offer your dad the extra if insurance goes up. And a little less throttle next time like I told you earlier

1998 Camaro Z28 LS1
2003 Silverado 2500HD CCSB 4x4 6.6 Duramax (DD with minor mods for better "MPG's")
If it was a ticket i think under 4 points, you can take a driver improvement course. It takes 4 hours of your time, but it will remove the points from your licence. After that everything will be back to normal.
1998 Pontiac Firebird T/A, M6, LT Headers, ORY, Borlamouth, tubular LCA and Panhard bar, lowered 1.5". More to come
thanks everyone. so far noones interested cuz of the leak lol. and yes we have josh. anyways, i payed the ticket, $140, have yet to take the class, gonna try to schedule for this weekend, still havent told my parents, might not ever lol, just gonna wing it til it the insurance goes up n make up a story that makes it sound better then 55 in a 25 lmao. but if i cant sell it i still got the winter treads and ill muscle my way thru the snow. get a winter beater next year n prep the bird for paint, paint it, do my exhaust n headers, and fix anything else. i love this thing and wanna keep it, ill keep everyone updated with whats going on.
Honestly if they don't switch insurance policies anytime soon, the insurance agency might not notice it...
This^^
I have been the recipient of a few "fastest driver awards" in my day, and I never had an insurance rate increase until I started shopping around for new insurance companies. Stuck with the same company, still paying the same amount as I was, a few discounts for no claims, multi car discount, and a couple incentive discounts when it came time to renew my policy. I'll be switching in March, since I will be getting a bigger discount by switching companies than I will at my current insurance company, but since I've been driving, I've had my own insurance, in my name, with the same company (except for the time I was in the Army, I sold my DD and stored my firebird, cancelled my policy).
Honestly, if you were to go get PL/PD or Liability coverage only, in your name, even with the ticket, you would be looking at anywhere from $50-$150/month, depending on your credit, driving record, vehicle use, age, and any discounts you may qualify for. I would try to stay on your parents as long as you can, but it may be time to switch to your own policy, because once their premiums go up, the companies are hesitant to bring them back to where they were. That's what I'd do anyway, but I've been on my own policy paying ridiculous premiums for about 7 years now, so you may be paying a lot less than I am.
well thats mighty helpful! i guess i can hang in there for a while cuz we just got new insurance before i got the car, so we'll be with em for a while. thanks guys, im feeling more and more relieved every time i get a comment like that.
