G.I in selling my 1989 Camaro RS

mhm then maybe you should explain why you think so? Its not like these cars demand big money or even GOOD money they just dont and thats how it is. Shoot if you knew what I paid for my current car you might have a heart attack then. $3200-$3500 is a FAIR price for that car, for both parties involved.

Why? For the simple fact that, 1) I'm partial to the third gens. 2) Car seems to be solid. 3) Third gens are to the point where their price will start going up. Now I'm not saying going up as did the '69 gen one have. Lets be realistic here.

Now if the dude is hard up and need some quick coin, then that is on him. However, I didn't detect this. Speaking for myself, I damn sure wouldn't sell my 45K 87 IROC for $32 to $35 hundred calling it a fair price! Mainly because I am not interested in selling it. But, if the price was right, say $15 K. I'd be handing over the title. And that's how it is. So I have no worries whatsoever about anyone wanting to buy Ms. Percy. Which is more then fine with me.

Bottom line, it just frosts my britches to see a fellow Camaro nut getting low balled. Rights right, and wrong is wrong!

Although I do not know the exact miles on HIS car but if its in the range of 45,000 miles then I am sure we would all be given a different price. Since he did not post the miles we all naturally assume the miles being low isnt a factor because usually thats a great selling point. $3200-$3500 is your GOING price for a average thirdgen in good shape and running order. Price them out and see, and while your doing that you would also see that your $15k mark for your car although the low miles would be pretty unrealistic. So your right you would not have to worry about anyone wanting to buy Ms. Percy at that price tag because I am quite sure no one would.

For the record I would sell my 1992 Camaro right now for $3300 without thinking about it, although no one would want it for that price considering its sitting in primer at the moment.

Edit-This car would probably clean up REAL well too. I think the photos 'mask' the potential of the car.

If I were to sell my 89 Iroc-z Convertible ($2500 new 355 (425-ish hp), WC T5 , new paint, new top, 2002 leather interior, tubular everything, Eclipse everything, etc) with an asking price of $5500.

do yourself a favor and research what these cars are going for. Low mile MINT cars are a different story then every day driver cars, you should know that.

your car could be worth every bit of $12K to YOU with the amount of work you have into it. I mean I would guess thats probably what a $8K paint job on the car? Its a different story when your talking custom cars (which yours is) compared to your run of the mile 1989 RS...

price it for as long as you want to keep it 1500.00 probably sell in hours, 8500.00 might take 5 yrs
