  • G.I in selling my 1989 Camaro RS

Most of you know what it looks like but not the information about it..
    1989 Camaro RS
    - 305 tbi
    - 700r4 trans
    - new paint(original paint color)
    - I dropped the "wonderwhich" rear end out and put in a posi with 3.42 gears
    - new headliner (April 2011)
    - new plugs and wires
    - thicker sway bar front and back
    - oil change every 3000 miles or earlier
    - newer rims and tires (IROC rims with Zeon tires)
    - Borla exhaust with a cut out
    - solid floor boards
    - solid body
    - a little bit of rust on the passager side door under the "door guards"
    - little paint chip/ scratch/ bump on front bumper (nothing major)
I was wondering what everyone thinks its worth and may be for sold if price is right. Im looking for something better on gas, manual, and most likely a V8.

Willing to trade/sell possibly Trans am, Firebird, Camaro
    shoot me an offer.

    1989 Camaro RS - SOLD
    1991 Camaro Z28 - SOLD
    1987 Camaro IROC-Z - current
When the rear end's loose, the car's fast. Loose is fast, and on the edge you're out of control.

are you asking opinions? I dont want to clutter the thread if your not.

But for comparison sake, I sold my 1992 Camaro 305 TBI 5 speed car with fresh paint nice interior although it had a few cosmetic flaws it was in overall good shape. Ran and drove great, etc. Similar to how yours, I got $3300 for mine and jumped all over that offer. I would say yours is "worth" in the same ball park.

    Good luck

if your serious about selling it and that is not a easy decision, trust me. Throw it up on craigslist for like $4,000 and see what happens, not the best time to try and sell a car like this in January however it does not hurt to try. I sold mine at the end of the season, October ish I believe.

I haven't seen the car in person but I probably would not take anything less then $3,000 for it

On the flip side there are deals out there that people will try to beat you on about the price, like the new 92 camaro I bought I literally stole from the guy...

Better on gas?????? You want another v8. Just because its a stick dosnt improve milage. You would want a 4 cyl or 6. The wife has the jeep lliberty V6 and it gets 24 mpg.

depends what it is really, like my truck i get better mileage than the guys with the v6 version because the 350 pushes the beast around easier with less effort. imo keep the camaro save up enough from each paycheck to find yourself a little fiero or something

              I would say around 3,000.

I told my 86 Iroc last summer with 80k original miles. For 4k. And it took awhile.

How many miles are on it??

I'd say $3k and it will probably take until spring to sell it.

I think you guys are pretty low, how different is this from my last car besides mine was a 5 speed? Heck his probably has less miles reading on the OD then mine did! Keep in mind I got $3300 for mine and he was the first person to make a offer on it. $3,000 would be my lowest I would take on it but that's me. I didn't sell mine during prime season either.

I think you ALL are low balling the sheet out of this dude. Christ on a rubber crutch, why don't y'all just tell him to give his ride away. It would be much more simple, and directly to the point! /rant

mhm then maybe you should explain why you think so? Its not like these cars demand big money or even GOOD money they just dont and thats how it is. Shoot if you knew what I paid for my current car you might have a heart attack then. $3200-$3500 is a FAIR price for that car, for both parties involved.
