You say it like it's condescending or something. Everyone on here either already has an fbody or is looking for a dream FBody for 3 grand or less.Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View Posthope you have it listed elsewhere, cause nobody here buys cars.
What do you expect from a group of mostly 20-somethings with no money.

It's on Craigslist.

If you guys could help me out, post a link or my original post up on other forums you frequent, I'd really appreciate it. I can't believe how much my life has changed in the past few weeks. . . A month ago, you couldn't even mention selling this car to me without me getting upset, now I have to sell it to move on. I am still shocked that I am actually doing this, I always told people I would NEVER sell this car. Now I find myself looking at things logically and seeing the error of my ways. . .
Meh, if it sells, it sells. Sure, I'll be sad, but I'll get over it. My future is looking brighter than ever, and I will be able to afford a nicer vehicle in a few years if I decide that's what I want to do.
Thanks for the compliments, guys. This car has been great to me, and I will hate to see her go, but it's for the best.Nick H.

I may also be listing my 42k original miles '88 Wrangler for sale too, but that's really not something I'm prepared to do right now.Nick H.

don't come out with such stereotypes. I was and I will soon again be in the market for a dd so i can keep my car around 30,000 miles. I have more than enough for one right now but it is not necessary as i can borrow a car from my parents for the time being. And why discourage trying to sell on here if it does not cost anything and the bottom line you just never know.Originally posted by meissen View PostYou say it like it's condescending or something. Not sure where your misunderstanding was from my post - I was just explaining why they don't sell on here that much. And you can call it a stereotype all you want, some stereotypes are based on truth. Either case, I was just explaining why you don't see members from here buying other cars that are posted on here that often - you think I'm talking negatively about it or trying to discourage people from posting on my own site?Originally posted by white96TA View Postdon't come out with such stereotypes. Guys, no offense, but do you think we could keep this thread on topic?
I'm going to give my grandparents a call today, if they are able to loan me the money, I'll be storing the car at their house (inside a barn, next to Grandpa's '57 Buick) and I won't have to sell it. If they can't or won't help me out, then it will be kept up for sale, and I'll be searching around for a loan.
No emails from anyone who spotted it on Craigslist yet.
One more issue it has, I think the bead on the back right tire isn't sealed properly, it's been leaking air really slowly since I bought it. If you remember, this was the tire that got slashed while I was at college last year, and I bought a new tire to replace the slashed one. It's a new tire, but it's leaking for some reason. I'll see if I can have it checked out before I park it out front with a sign in the window.Nick H.

That's what I'm hoping for. I know being debt-free is going to feel a lot better than having a car sitting in the driveway that I can't drive. Plus, I'll be in another F-Body sooner than you might think.Originally posted by phoenix_rising View PostGood luck Nick. I know it sucks but I think you will be glad once you are debt free.

Good luck, like some have already said, it's the wrong time of year to sell a car. I've had lots of people look at mine but no one has even talked to me about it. I always thought yours was ttops.

wiggle the valve stem around a little too or put your ear by it that is a common place for leaks too, if you have hit a curb with the rim, the tire may not be sealing to the bead either though.Originally posted by 93formulalt1 View PostGuys, no offense, but do you think we could keep this thread on topic?

I'll have to take a look at it. The back right tire seems to go flat about once every 4-5 days, but the other three are fine. I think they're still under warranty, maybe I'll go have them pulled off the rims and re-mounted.Originally posted by redfbird99 View Postwiggle the valve stem around a little too or put your ear by it that is a common place for leaks too, if you have hit a curb with the rim, the tire may not be sealing to the bead either though.
I know this is a bad time to sell, but to be completely honest with you guys, I really need this thing to go. I've looked at a couple of online loan apps, and most of them say that they aren't accepting apps from residents of the State of Michigan. That's depressing. I'm going to try with my bank and see if they'll give me a loan. If they do, that's great. If not, I'll check at the local Credit Unions. If that doesn't work, I'm going to have to call up and cancel the settlement. I just need a short-term loan for about $3,500, I can use the Firebird as collateral, and I'll be paying off the loan in full at the end of March/beginning of April 2009. I'm just stressing out right now about a bunch of things.Nick H.

Not accepting loans from residents of Michigan? That sounds a little illegal, might as well say there not gonna take your loan just because your black or something like that.

Check the credit unions first, Nick. I originally got my car loan through Chase for an extreme APR but then my mom found USA Credit Union (before they merged into a different company) and they got me the car loan with a LOT cheaper APR. If you don't mind me asking - is it a collection agency that's doing the settlement or is it the company that you originally had the debt with?- Brian Meissen
