Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!

Time to Sell. . . :( (TONS OF PICS, 56K BAKE A CAKE!)
Check the credit unions first, Nick. I originally got my car loan through Chase for an extreme APR but then my mom found USA Credit Union (before they merged into a different company) and they got me the car loan with a LOT cheaper APR. If you don't mind me asking - is it a collection agency that's doing the settlement or is it the company that you originally had the debt with?
Um, I'm not sure on that. The debt was originally with HSBC, but I think they sold the debt, and I'm dealing with another company. I'll check with the local credit union, I have decent credit (My credit score is 650), but with the repo of the bike and the current delinquent status of the account, I don't think I can get a loan without a cosigner, and nobody I know is in a position to cosign for me right now.
That's why the car's for sale. I don't want to sell the car, but I'll probably find something a little nicer in a couple of years and sell anyway.
I was just offered $3,500 for the car in an email, I've been talking to this guy back and forth for a couple of days now, he's really interested . . . If he buys it, I'll be out of debt and in a much better position to get a different F-Body (or possibly something a little more up my alley ) next summer. . .
I countered his offer of $3500 with $3,750. If he accepts that, the car is sold. If not, I was offered a Heads/Cam/Intake/Exhaust LT1 Camaro with 50k less miles on the clock as a trade. . . Probably be a little easier to move that with the way the market is right now. Plus, the guy is an F-Body guy, so I know he'd take care of it. . .
Gosh, this is really hard. I never wanted to give up my car, I worked hard to be able to get it, now I have to part with it. It kills me to know that in a week, the car I've put so much work into will probably be gone or close to it. . .
Im glad you found someone, I hope the trasaction goes through smooth and works out for you. And on the bright side you may be able to buy it back someday or move to an LS1 car which is something I have always wanted to do.......Good Luck
That's the plan. Sell now, get out of debt, and buy either an LS1/M6 F-Body or a 6-speed C5 Corvette sometime in the next few years. I put so much into the Formula, it really hurts to sell it, but I have to do this to get myself out of debt. After this, I'll have no debt, my credit score is going to improve, and in a couple of years, I should have enough money saved up to buy the car I want with cash. That's the plan, at least. . .
I countered this guy's offer last night, but I haven't heard anything back from him yet.

if you dont sell over $250 id have to question your reasoning. The hassle of selling another car is more of an expense than $250.
me too, without thinking twice, i had so many email buyers on my car, then it would always come down to well... i have to talk to my dad blah blah, the more you make them think the longer itll take to sell. You should be happy with 3500 outa it..

Yeah, I'd have to agree - today's market countering is a lot more risky.
I responded and told him I'd take $3,500. He hasn't responded yet.
I'll take $3,500, but I can't go any lower than that. Less than that, I'll just keep it. I'm already feeling like crap about having to sell it, I'm not going to sell it and still have to scramble to come up with the cash to pay off my loan, too.
