Hey guys, I'm having trouble typing this, but it has to be done.
My 1993 Pontiac Formula is for sale. I have some debt that needs to be taken care of, I was able to settle an outstanding account for less than half what I owe on it, so I need to jump on it to save myself some grief and finally get my finances straightened out. I'm asking $4,000 or best offer. If that's too high, let me know. I'm flexible on price, but I need to get enough to pay off the amount I owe by the end of the month.
Ben and anyone else who has seen this car can vouch that it's in pretty good shape, it looks good, sounds good, drives good, and runs good. The minor blemishes may not seem like a big deal, but I want to lay the cards out on the table so anyone who's interested knows everything about the car before hand.
As you may or may not know, my car is my baby. It always has been. I keep it as clean as I can (schedule permitting), and I try not to drive it in inclement weather when I have a choice in the matter. It has seen 1 winter since I've owned it, but it was driven maybe 4-5 times that winter in the snow. The body is in fair condition, as is the paint, but it's no show car. Here are the specs:
1993 Pontiac Formula Firebird
350c.i.d. LT1 V8
700R4 (4L60) 4 speed automatic transmission
Engine is stock
Transmission is stock
Rear Axle-Stock 10 bolt, but I'll include a Detroit True-Trac differential in the deal
Suspension-It currently has an Eibach Pro-Kit installed, which lowered the vehicle about 1-1.5" total, but I will include the stock coils if I can find them.
Wheels/Tires: 1998 Corvette "Wagon Wheels", 17" in front, 18" in back, with Falken 465 series rubber in stock Corvette sizes.
Stereo: Panasonic touch panel head unit, Pioneer Door and Sail Panel speakers, Rockford Fosgate "Power" mid-high's in inner 1/4 panels, 2x 12" Audiobahn subwoofers in a custom box in the back, with a Sony 1200w 4 channel amp mounted underneath.
Interior: Dark grey leather seats from a '98 Camaro SS, front driver seat is power, pass. is manual. There are a few cuts on the lower part of the pass. seat, and some wear on the driver's seat, but overall, they are all in good shape.
The good:
The car starts up and runs great every time. I thought it had leaking valve seals, but it didn't, it was just still burning some seafoam out of the engine for a short time. It drives straight, has plenty of power, and it has not been abused. It's never seen the track, and I've only "gotten on it" a handful of times. The tires were purchased new, and they still have plenty of tread left, I would say they have about 80% tread. New brakes were installed all the way around over the summer (new pads and rotors), and the car has only been driven maybe 500 miles since. The oil was changed in June, it's due for another oil change, I just haven't been driving it much, so I haven't changed it yet.
The Bad:
The driver's side window switch needs replacing, it will operate the driver's window, but not the passenger's. It didn't bother me much, I would usually just lean across the pass. seat and roll it down with the other switch. The paint has seen better days, some people at school decided they didn't like me very much, and keyed it a couple of times. There is a decent sized dent in the quarter panel on the driver's side. Both of the rear wheelwells are beginning to rust on the inside of the lip. The carpet has also seen better days, it's got a couple of cuts in it and it's kind of dirty. It has a very minor electrical problem, most likely a loose or "dirty" connection in one of the battery cables. When the car starts up for the first time in a while, it tends to not charge properly, the voltmeter reads low, and the lights flicker. It's got a brand new alternator, which is still under warranty, so it's most likely a loose cable or dirty ground or something.
The taillights and corners are tinted, and I wetsanded and polished them, they look great when they are cleaned. They are a little dark, but I did that because the stock tails were starting to form condensation on the insides, and because I liked the look. I installed an "alarm", i.e. keyless entry that beeps and flashes the lights and has a panic button. The starter kill kept giving me problems, so I ditched it. The car has brand new AutoGage Volt, Engine Temp, and Oil Pressure guages (oil press. not hooked up yet, but I have the hardware needed to do it, just couldn't find where to hook it to the engine.), as well as an AutoGage 5" Tach and shift light. The guages were a birthday gift, so if you don't want them in the car, let me know, I would like to keep them.
Here are some pics. If you want to see more, let me know. If you are interested, please PM me on here or post up, I'll be glad to give you a call or schedule a time for you to come check it out. It's registered, but there is currently no insurance on the vehicle, so unfortunately, I cannot deliver or meet a potential buyer anywhere with the car.

If you want to see any more pictures, I've got plenty, just let me know and I'll post them up for you.
