Wow i cant believe this!!! Mike was the one that bought my 4 bolt block. Came with his son to pick it up and i told him i couldnt help move it because of my back and thats when he told me his whole story. Very nice guy cant even imagine why that would happen. Hopefully one of his family members can get in touch with us.

he had planned on bringing his girlfriend and son to get my car, and i had a few friends scheduled to push the car up on the trailer so he wouldnt risk hurting himself, and my back is screwed up too. i was in shock and frozen when i got the call.

Once I find out funeral arrangements I'm going to try to make it to the viewing. I'll print the thread out and pass it along to his family so they know how many on here he touched.

Be careful man. Speaking from experience you may not be feeling the full extent of your injury yet. Get adequate rest! Although this is is the first time i have ever heard of someone passing from a back injury... truly tragic...

I'm kind of in the disbelief stage right now -- like many, I met Mike through a parts swap. I was selling a radio that I had gotten as part of my great SS hood debacle in Indianapolis. We met up at the Starbucks on 12 Mile and I-75 in Madison Heights, and I swapped out the miniature light bulbs for the faceplate right there in the coffeeshop! He brought his one boy with him, and he seemed like a good kid, just as Mike seemed like a good stand-up guy who'd already had more than his share of health problems. I had a disc removed from my back when I was 31, so I knew a lot of what he was going through. So sad to lose a good soul like that, especially someone so young, and I feel particularly bad for the kids who won't have their dad anymore.

Godspeed Mike, you left us far, far too soon.
