  • Eh??!! What's this Canadian guy doing in here??

    Hi Everyone!

I think I probably know a bunch of you but I thought that since BBOMG5 is going to be held in Detroit (area) next year, I should stop in and introduce myself so that you folks can ask me anything BBOMG related. All though BBOMG is predominantly 5th gens, we are open to ALL GM vehicles so we hope to see all of you Firebirds next year as well!

    Cheers,
    Hylton

Welcome to MiFBody, Hylton! But you're far from the first Canadian here!

Always glad to add more good friends from Ontario!

Welcome to the site Hylton! I saw a notification on my phone that you sent me a message on Facebook - I haven't had a chance to read it but will try to read and reply tonight after work. I'm really excited for the BBOMG event to be in Detroit - I've always wanted to participate but couldn't make the drive to Oshawa due to conflicts with other (more local) shows.

Do you guys have an area set up already for where you plan to meet for the event?

None of those links say what BBOMG stands for.

The only way I figured it out was by going to bbomg.com and hovering over the tab in Chrome to see the full title of the webpage, otherwise I agree Nate it's not blatantly spelled out anywhere, there's not even an explanation of what type of event BBOMG is on the official site. BBOMG - Buyers and Builders Ontario Meet & Greet event. It's basically a "homecoming" for 5th gen buyers to come back to the Oshawa plant and get tours of the facility and meet the team that works at the plant.

Edit: The picture on the Facebook page has a group holding a sign that spells out BBOMG.

Edit Edit: BBOMG is also spelled out in the footer on the BBOMG.com website. Now it's just like an easter egg hunt!

The folks at BBOMG heard our suggestion and updated their page to have a "What is BBOMG?" section.
