Champion on eBay I think has done good reviews from the tho peeps. Also get electric dams if you haven't with a jegs controller. Ls or lt1 fans will work. Contact Brandon I got mine from him if you ca t find any. And if you need help wirog it let me know also. My truck runs at a stead 180 with a 105 ystat and dual electric fans.

The fan is coming on at about 220 and turning off at 190. On a cold start it stays right where it needs to be temp wise the first few times the thermostat opens. The longer you drive it and the warmer the weather the hotter it gets. We recently moved and we have been making two rent payments. We just made the last payment on the old apartment so the money should be coming soon.

My guess is that the fan comes on and works fine for the cooler days but it could be on its way out. Have you pulled the fan motor and see if its working at 100%? This was the case on my brothers camaro, exact same thing your talking about. Hotter days it would over heat, cooler days and traffic moving it would be just fine at 220

We will see. Thinking of replacing both, the radiator and the fan. If I cant get it fixed I wont be able to do the Cruise this year..

Mine does the same thing, but I have an electric fan that's not turning on... Only heats up in traffic

1st, put the dye in the radiator to check for combustion gasses. Could be a small head gasket leak. I doubt it but its worth a look. 2nd. how old is the water pump? the impeller may have eroded due to its age. I had a 4.3 in a pick up truck that would do this because the impeller fins were just little bumps.

I'd say just bite the bullet with a radiator and new fan. Odds are, you may need to reevaluate that anyway if you decide to swap the 305.
