Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Looks like a great project! Can't wait to watch it come along. I too have the T-5 and haven't run into any issues with the trans, even behind a more powerful engine.. As of late, i've been beating it up pretty good too.
I've got a few parts laying around - coolant bottle, door cards, washer bottle, wonderbar. Need any of them, let me know!
ill keep that in mind. i know so far i need a gas cap, springs, one front tire, both rocker gfx, and some little adjustments on stuff. needs body work but it doesnt look terrible so i wasnt gonna worry about it yet. good to know the trans will hold some power, it doesnt like the newbie manual driver. but geez the clutch on mine is super hard to control even my friend said mine was alot stiffer than his old bird was.
no problem it happens. found out the car is for sure a 350, posi is worn out. im slowly starting a list of things i need but that gets put on hold because my truck is leaking oil yet again, and it has a new pan new gasket and everything.

I have a 373 ring and pinion for a series 2 carrier. I will sell it for pretty cheap. It has like 3 thousand miles on it.
Yeah if fits the stock carrier. When I bought my posi unit I got the wrong one to work with that gear. That is what the guy from Summit called it. If you wanna check it out let me know.
He has the gearset that allows 3.73 to run on the low numerical gear carrier
Thanks for the explanation Michael. I'm pretty dumb when it comes to this stuff. Tyler if you want it let know when you can. No rush here its sitting in a box in the garage. I drove the car very little last summer with that ring and pinion.

explain more mikey im confused but a good posi 3.73 would be nice for the engine and trans i might pick up this weekend.
due to spacing on the gears, series II carriers are offset more allow the larger pinion gear. 3.08+ (stock 3.23 was the next step up IIRC) have a smaller diameter pinion gear (input gear) so the aftermarket series II 3.08+ ring gears are much thicker to make up for the different offset. If your posi is shot, might as well get a series III and the gear you want. Craig has my old series II carier, still good, from my IROC that he was trying to sell a while back...not sure if he still has it.
