The only place I know of to get an LS1 is the junkyard in Capac, I could get a quote on one since they do have 4th gen Z28s and a few WS-6 Trans Ams.

I went to Parts Galore. There were 9 F-bodies there, maybe more. Most of them didn't really have any good parts, but they did have a '95 Camaro. I took pics of all the F-Bodies I saw if interested. There's a Formula 350 over there too, the engine looks ok but is missing valve covers like usual. One 3rd gen had a very nice interior, like no rips or tears at all.

Any engines other than the 350?

Well the engines there are not the best but they have 350s and other engines, they have over 2000 cars in the lot, although I think the 95 Camaro is a V6.

update

Pic of the firewall after we coated it. I'll get the little nooks and crannies later.
Pic of the underside of the frame. I think it looks great, one more overall coat and a spray on the inside of the frame and it should be done. After that we will sandblast and coat the underside of the car as well as coat the headers, then put it all back together. Next project for me to do is rip out the interior and repaint it black where the red paint is on the back seat and door skins, as well as touching it up and cleaning the interior. After that my plans are to sell off the extra third gen fender, headlight assembly, and spoiler as well as trade off/sell the rims and tires, and sell/trade the second gen fender I have to get one with the air louver on it. I might trade/sell the hood in order to get a shaker with scoop.

As far as the roller goes, I called the guy back like twice and he never answered, but he did call me back once so we have been phone tagging for a while. I don't think I'll have the room to store the roller though, so I'm not sure if I'll get it. He wanted the car gone real soon so maybe he sold it already. 81DaytonaPaceCar I have pics of the 4 good rims and the blue fender, and I can get some of the other third gen parts if you want.

BTW does anyone know how good the parts interchangability between second gen Camaros and Firebirds is? I might be able to sweep up some second gen Camaro parts such as a core support and maybe doorskins, and some Trans Am seats.

Core support might work. Pretty sure door skins won't. Birds and Maros have different bodylines. The seats will work fine. It will just have a diff style cover on it most likely.

The guy said that he believes the seats came out of a Bandit Edition T/A, although I think they aren't but then again I am confused as to what color they originally came and I haven't seen the seats yet.

95% of Camaro parts will fit a T/A. Both core support and door skins should be fine.

"Bandit" seats will be standard black and either cloth or vinyl depending on the year they came out of. They are no different than regular seats until you get into the 3rd gens and get the Recaro option on a S/E black and gold T/A.

Be careful of people who think that "Bandit" cars are black and gold T/As...most black and gold T/As are not Bandits.

A Bandit seat will just be a Deluxe (or Custom, w/e you want to call it) Interior seat. My Formula has them. So don't let him try to up the price b/c their Bandits.

The roof and the trunk lid are the only sheet metal parts that will work. So the doors won't work. Firebird and Camaro Body Panel Exchangeability
