Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Im sure the pwr steering pump is different but I think the pulley may work on a ls style pump. and The air conditioning pump probably is too but. I wont know till I try and stick em on the block.
I am going to try and use the truck spaced accessories.. After looking at the Camaro, I think I may have enough room to do it, we'll see.
Good point on the tail housing. But I beat you to it, I already bought a complete housing from Richard @ Detroit gearbox already rebuilt and bead blasted. This one is going to go on the Camaro at some point. That one leaks a bit
Last night I separated the trans amd engine. I pulled the parts off and out of the trans that I need for my truck trans. The smell of overheated, 250,000 mile burnt fluid is kinda nauseating.
Next is a couple pieces off the engine. Then break down the cross member/front suspension for blasting, and paint .

If you're going with truck spacing, look into LS3/L99 Camaro stuff. I used the PS pump and would have used the alternator bracket if it didn't hit the PS box on the 60 Impala. I think I still have the AC bracket if you want to try it.
Edit: I still have the low mount alternator bracket. I used the Holley AC bracket for the Impala.
Mike. Im not sure on ls3 stuff. The reason I am going to use the truck spaced stuff is a availability. If its for an f body application the price.is going to be stupid high. So I am looking for a cheaper alternative. I may take you up on the bracket for sure.
So today I converted the car over to drive by cable. I had to go to the pick and pull for a gas pedal, I got a cable yesterday. Removing the drive by wire was easy, unplug the unit, remove one bolt from inside and one nut. Go outside into the engine bay and remove a bolt. plop, done. Installation..... That's a beast all by itself. Remove the column, the brake booster , the wiring and the brake pedal bracket, Why, you ask? Because the gas pedal and the brake pedal mount are a one piece design on cable actuated cars. But, Joe you could have just cut off the brake bracket and installed the accelerator bracket by itself right? Maybe some one else could have but I don't work like that, it would have bothered me. long tough day , but Its done. The best part was the bolt in the engine compartment has a huge washer on it. Because its plugging the factory cable hole! sweet! No drilling.
As a side note I scored a trans am hatch from Dirty Bird today. Thanks Jake!
I broke.down the v6 crossmember and suspension last night for blasting and paint. I think matt black. I have also been contemplating body color on the engine compartment. The problem would begetting it to the painter. Oh well one step at a time.
Glad you are rid of drive by wire. Im so thankful GM only disgraced the v6 cars with that garbage. It wasnt even close to keeping up with my shifts in my 99 5 speed.
