Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
I believe I read that AI starts with different blanks than Summit sells, like they literally have next to no ports. Their 21* options include the price of said castings.
Edit: that conflicts with the title though. Title is plural. I would call. Who the hell is going to buy one cylinder head for a v8 anyway.
That's exactly what I thought. Are the LE1 heads sold as a pair?

Yes, but you probably have to send him stock cores to port. I see him buying stock heads on the boards from time to time so if you contact him he might already have cores he can work on, however I'm sure it changes the price.

You're correct, he does ask for your heads to port.
However, I know he has (1) LT1 Head sitting there you can ask for and dont you dare let him charge you for it.

Personal experience?

To make a long story short. My heads that i sent him got lost by UPS. but the box made it to him eventually just one head in the box though. And that was just a couple weeks ago so, i know hes got it and I know hes got nothing into it.
So does he have heads ready to ship, and he just requires payment and core, or does he end up modifying the actual heads you send him (so there's a longer lead time)?

Call him he is a nice guy. I have sent him heads for porting and bought a set already ported from him. All depends on if he has cores for porting....this time of year he probably doesn't have a set but u never know his prices on website are for a pair of ready to bolt on heads. I have ran his LE1 and LE2 heads

Did you provide cores for him when you ordered yours?

I stopped by Livernois today, and they quoted me about $760 to get my heads repaired and reassembled and ready to bolt on. Mighty tempting, since it will be about $200 better than a set of LE1s...
