  • Winter storage?

Well since this is the 1st winter back in Michigan , I am curious about what everyone does to winterize their cars. The car will be garage kept during this wonderful winter, but am looking for some advice outside of putting Sta-bil in the gas tank. Thanks for the help, Mike.

Yes I am very interested too!

All I have done was top off the gas tank with good gas, change the oil, throw the cover over it, and check the fluids. What else should be done?

Depends on how long it will be stored without starting it up. On the RARE winters my car is not torn apart, I would just keep a full tank of gas in it. I would fire the car up once every couple weeks and get the fliuds warm. Also, when the weather happened to be nice, I would drive it around the block.

mine sits inside so I just start it up every once in a while and let it run. Its usually good to keep a full tank of gas in it so that the tank doesn't get any rust or bacteria in it.

If you don't plan on messing around with it cracking the windows alittle will help it so you don't get a musty smell in there. Can put it on jackstands so tires don't get flatspots on them.

The only thing I do it put a 100lbs in the trunk. But its sad enought that I have to drive my car in the winter time. This will be my 5th year driving my car in the snow.

Just keep gas in it so no condensation can build up and run it to get it up to temp once every couple of weeks.
