Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!

a buddy is going from efi lt1 to carb lt1 which is better?
He replaced 2 plugs on the drivers side and 1 on the passenger side and he tried to start it and said it sounded
Like a 50 cal going off when it backfired
i beleive 4l60e needs rpm signal to let the computer contol it so the easiest way is to find rpm signal and tap it into the computer.
Not even close, Tyler.
They guy will have to get an LT1 specific intake, older intakes are NOT compatible without filling and drilling. They make an intake for doing this exact swap, just need to add a distributor.

hey it wa s shot in the dark apparantly for tbi all you need to do is take the two wires from the coil and attach the black one to the orange one. i was thinkiking even with an lt1 there would be a similar method because, i thought he was swapping to a distributor anyhow.

Any 4L60E trans needs more than RPM to run it, even TBI. I don't want to be mean here, but "shot it the dark" info isn't what people are looking for and is unbeneficial.
VSS, MAP/MAF, RPM, TPS - just like Larry said. Newer models use ISS as well.

ok i dd know all that besides map and it seemed to escape me, holley has a kit for tps iirc
Yes some people know some of the plan but I was up the other night thinking of about another idea, that I have never seen done for the LT1.
Part of the plan I will be doing for sure. As for the wow part of the plan still debating on that but only time will tell
I was on this sort of venture awhile back. i think i still have a custom sheet metal intake with provisions for a dizzy. i made it to go three ways. Dual carb/ single carb/ or fuel injection. All bolt onto the top of the intake. Ill see if i can find it.
