I know the hood came out looking like hell in a hand basket. But its black at least. I'm going to let it dry and D/A it with 120 grit then keep on till its smooth.

But it was in the back seats where your feet sit and I'm never back there.
One winter did this to it. So its time for an under coating and some flex seal

If you DA with 120 you're going to cut right down to the fiberglass and cause yourself even more headache. Try 320 or 400 then a coat of 2k primer.

That rot has been going on for much more than one winter, this one was just the final straw.

Damn GL with fixing the rust. Especially if you want to keep it forever. Just dont cheap out and take shortcuts.

Thanks gonna need it. But its all done now patched up for summer and undercoated then I hit it with duplicolor textured paint to keep it looking nice.

She's real nice looking now. I feel so much better knowing
That there's not a hole in my floor anymore. Even though it is a temp repair.

Well guys I'm picking parts from an lt1 at a local yard.

Optispark, coil and ICM are spoken for its a 95-97 motor.

Let me know if you guys need anything. Its from a 95 Buick with the lt1.

If there's that much rust on the floor pans, I'd stay the hell away from taking that car to high speeds. There has to be a lot of rust elsewhere. Who knows if the brake lines aren't rusted and only one panic stop away from bursting? Please don't take that car up to 150... You're going to hurt someone.

And FYI a solid LSx car gets sketchy at 150, they're not aerodynamically worth a damn at those speeds.

That's the funny thing about this car, that's the only rust on it!

If I were to cut out just the rear foot pans and weld in new ones you would think this car never seen a salty road.

This cars really clean underneith.... well except for the spots I repaired.

Man im starting to get kinda bored with this car... I'm looking for a t56 to swap in. Anyone have one?

Ehhhh I would highly doubt that only one winter did that. I daily drove my car through multiple winters and although I do have a rust hole now, it was no where near that bad.

Or maybe the boards were just soft as ever then just broke thru?

While I like the ambition, put money floors and a quality paint job first. Better return on investment! If you want to keep the car for the long haul you need to make sure it doesn't cut weight on its own

Yeah, could have been the latter - weak metal that hadn't broken all the way through yet. I have about a fist sized hole in the passenger side rear floorboard but the rest of my floorboards are OK and like I said I daily drove my '94 from 2002 to 2005-ish year round including through the snow.

Two new Kelly chargers in the rear 245/50/R16s
And some wheel paint and I painted the valve covers.

I pulled the drivers valve cover and it was milky like I blew a head gasket. But there's nothing in my oil and nothing in my intake valley.

No white smoke. Nothing. I'm thinking its just moisture in the oil from when I power washed the engine awhile back. Cause there's NO signs of a bad head gasket.

Found out what it was, just had a bit of moisture in the covers from power washing the engine.

Changed the oil and never seen it again.

But I did get the ram air lid setup modified setup and fitted. I can't wait to get the correct piping to use it and a nice filter.
