its brand new. didnt want it to rust. saving for another project.
does the engine have any codes? those extension harness are know to be pinned wrong and sets a cam code. p0342 if i remember correctly. if that code is there switch the outer 2 wires on that extension connector.
if those are switch the engine has o roll over 3-5 times before it syncs. it may also "pop" the first time over

Swap the pink and brown wires that will fix your issue, I had the same problem.

Yes as Larry mentioned its a very common issue with the extension harness.

doesnt really hurt anything. just take awhile to sync.

btw, im just a dumb mechanic

and yes. once in awhile they will start right up.
the main issue with the harness is that most are supposed to plug directly into the sensor instead of using the factory extension

The LS6 is a better manifold than the LS2, the fast is better than either but as you mentioned pricey so probably not a consideration unless your trying to squeeze every last hp out of it.

The newer fast stuff is ok. The older 90 suck and leak.
Whats wrong with the ls2 intake. Jeff?

nothing wrong with the intake at all but from what I have seen out of the box the LS6 seems to make more peak power, now on the flip side the LS2 has a larger TB opening already, both can be ported but that typically costs more than its probably worth you'd be better of buying a FAST at that point. Not to mention what does a 90mm throttle body cost these days?

I had the same issue with the cam sensor extension harness. My car still doesnt start if my key is left forward than cranked. I have to just put the key in and turn it over right away. Something wont let it sync with power on 1st.

Strange everybody had these issues with the extension harness wires being mixed up. I just recently bought mine from racetronix and the pink and brown wires were still crossed incorrectly. You would think they would remedy it by now.

Not to Hi-jack but anybody have an explanation to why my car will start after key is left forward?

Btw it uses that lingenfelter 24x conversion module. Shouldnt have any problems like that though.

There not actually crossed. The factory wire from the sensor to the metal bracket crosses them. Your supposed to remove the factory extension but nobody does
