              Thats true. And just to throw another example out there, jons old Z28 ran a 13.9 with nothing but a catback and CAI. It was an auto car with a 2.73!

                If the car didn't have a converter I could see it picking up .2 in the 60' alone with a step gear. Stock converter/stock gear fbodys are DOGS in the 60'.

                People say that a tenth in the 60 foot is worth close to 2 tenths of total ET.

                  You don't think it would pick up that much going 2.73 to 3.73? Not sure if thats the case but just wondering.

                    not if it has a converter. many people see gains but you need to factor in the difference the gear change alone did, not the DA.

                          my guess is going to be 13.38-13.43

                          what do we win if we are really close or hit it on the tailpipe ?

                            he has time slips from both days. before and after the swap. the only thing that was different was the 3.73s. idk what to tell ya lol

                            edit* it was a 93 lol so its was an odd ball to begin with.

                              I don't doubt that he does, did the car have a converter? That makes a difference what was the DA on each pass? that makes a difference where the shift points adjusted for the gears on changed in any other way?

                                he has slips from when he went 14.1 at a milan rental and i personally watched the car go 13.5 at highschool nationals afte the gear swap. and no it had a stock convertor.
