The manifold gaskets I reffered to have all the holes that the head does. Eric L

eric, i had the same experience. My manifolds used some different bolt holes than my headers. I'm not sure why, but i take it as evidence that all LT1's were intended by God to have headers intsalled on them

The felpro gaskets have all the bolt holes that the heads have on them. And are blow proof. Double win. Eric L

Then its the manifolds that dont use all of the holes. I cant remember exactly, but i definitely noticed what brian was talknig about when i did mine.

The reason I bring it up is because the ones I use cost $5.00 and are notched and are a lot easier to install in tight engine compartments. And another user said they worked until he removed and replaced them. I have been using mine multiple times since 2002. Thats why I brought it up. Eric L

The stainless ones I got with my headers worked until I reused them. Also smeared them with copper RTV the first time I installed them. Surprisingly, it actually did not burn off.

                          Used to own a Firebird.

been running my stock ones since I've owned the car, no leaks. LT1 gaskets must really suck compared to the mls LS gaskets.
