  • Made decent progress today. Got the headers on, plugs in, wires on, steering shaft painted and back on. We also got the new flywheel on.

Here are some pics from today. So far, I think the headers are pretty nice. Joel and my friend ben had to dent one while i ground some off the steering shaft. Had to grind the k Member too. They are no kooks but it really wasnt that bad, its not finished yet though.

        • You have to dent in to clear the steering shaft was it? Looks pretty close, most are though.

          Nice progress!

The one you brought me is too dry

The one that I took off the car, was bent. We bent it back and i think we could weld it and use it but I dont want to take this trans out again.

Ill just get the new kit, install it and know that I have new flywheel, PP, clutch, and TB.

turns out the gasket had folded up on us and we were trying to screw into half head and half gasket. my dad went out there and figured it out. bought a new gasket and it went on with no problems. Rookie mistake :/

                        Everything *should* be smooth now.

I just hope the EGR block off doesnt mess something up.

how did you tune your car?
