You should "purpose build" it for a demo derby!
On a serious note... I think they make aftermarket A/C systems for vintage cars. You could look into those, they might be lighter and I believe they mount to the cabin side of the firewall up under the dash. Or just install nitrous and add a purge inside the cabin... warning, may result in death, but at least you'd be cold

disagree. It looks nice but i cannot deal with the bendy-ness of it. I want something solid. I'll be getting a 69 style billet wheel with a camaro emblem in the center.Originally posted by nascarnate326 View Poststock steering wheel FTW-Joel

Not to hijack your thread but I got this seat but I'm not sure what to do. I like the seat with the exception of the blue. I might see if I can trade it for a black one but we will have to see.Attached FilessigpicAnd another thing.....when I gun the motor, I want the whole world to think it's coming to an end.

Ive probably removed around 150 pounds so far, and more will be removed but like i said I am not "gutting" this thing. This car will not immediately appear like it has had much if any weight reduction.
I might be reconsidering the ABS removal now. Even though i never once felt the ABS engage on the track, i pulled the fuse on it and driving around without ABS it seems like the front tires can randomly lock fairly easy. I need to do some more research. I am confident in my own driving ability, but if the ABS system actually 'adapts' to the situation and distributes the braking power better, I might stick with it.-Joel

Apologize for the lack of progress (having a job kinda puts this project on the back burner) but I am bumping this back up for some input from you guys.
Long story short, I think I made a mistake with a previous part selection. I am currently using rear control arms that look like this:

I think the lack of articulation in these control arms, likely designed for straight line application, may be hindering the performance of my rear suspension by binding during articulation and not allowing the suspension to do its job. (I know this happens to at least some degree). I also have a theory that this might be part of the reason for my quarter panels getting wavy, although it is entirely possible I am just at the power level that this is inevitable anyway. Should I swap these out for something with heim joints? If anyone is interested in trading I believe they are BMR chromoly units and I have painted them anodized red.Last edited by JoeliusZ28; November 30th, 2010, 12:09 AM.-Joel
