Thats another reason why I just left it alone hahaha. Why couldn't it just be an old school distributor or a LS1 setup. Someone donate to my LS1 igintion swap only like 2300 dollars to go.Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. Could I have put on the harmonic balancer wrong? A site said this could cause everything to be out of line, valve timing, ignition timing.
EDIT:
Checked the balancer by setting it to top dead center its on right.
Is the IAT sensor used in closed and open loop? Cause I just tested the resistance, read ~1400 ohms on it and it thinks its 104 degrees, its roughly 60 degrees outside so it should read about ~4500 ohms. So could this be my problem that the engine thinks the air is extremely hot, causing the PCM to horribly knock back timing to prevent detonation?
EDIT: Pulled the IAT sensor out and got 2846 ohms which puts it between 77- 68 degrees. Its probably that temp in my house.

thought you'd like to see this.Originally posted by From LS1tech.comMany of you will read this on LS1LT1.com
I bought a chandler opti spark back when he first hit this fourm...since then i have been through 3!!! yes 3!!! The first lasted for about 3000 miles and the button came loose. The threads on the screws were gone and there was no locktight! The second one lasted for about 2 mlies! I put it on, went for a test ride and didn't make it back!!! The third made it about 20 miles!! I asked for my money back on the third one since i have a delco that i put on after the second one went out but was told no!! The third one was put on a 95 z28 and lasted for 2 days!!! I will give them credit for thier warranty. They have replaced all of them and refunded me for the shipping it cost to send them back! BUT, none of the ones that i have received from them have lasted for over a few miles!! The third one went out today, so i'm not sure what they are going to do about it. I will keep on here and let everyone know what comes of it. It cost aprox. $30.00 and a couple of hours of time to change out the opti. That is fresh coolant and water pump gaskets!
For anyone wanting a opti, go with AC/Delco!! DO NOT BUY FROM CHANDLER MOTORSPORTS!!!! I hope this saves someone some headache, time and money!

It wasn't that I didn't want to pay. I didn't have a job. I am now back trimming, I haven't even had time to work on the car since I have worked 41 hours so far this week. We are expecting high winds and possible storm tomorrow so I might be working 16 tomorrow and Saturday again. I think I am just gonna order the AC/Delco.

My GMPP opti was FRIED and I mean fried in 1500 miles. Everyone talks bad about the MSD but they're the ONLY one to give their product a 1 year warrenty. Havent had a poblem with mine in 4000 miles.2015 Silverado

Well Kyle put an Accell one on the car and that took a crap. AC Delco is OEM so thats what is going on. Yeah I should be pretty good at taking it off now hahaha. I haven't even put the radiator support back on since I took it off or returned the pulley puller they probably think I bought it now haha.
Awesome 392 dollars spent. Ordered Optispark.Last edited by Fox Slaughter; September 23rd, 2010, 10:21 PM.Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles.
