The threads of the two screws. It gums them up so the screws can't back out.

Well she runs. Got her back together and she ran, it was sexy. I couldn't wait to drive so I drove right off the jack stands... I forget I had the car in gear to break the crank pulley bolts loose. I had a brick in front of the back wheel. Needless to say that brick shattered the Charlyne drove off the jack stands and smashed the bucket of antifreeze under her sending it every where. Sad part was my friend stepped out of the way and said I should move incase something goes wrong.

It happens - we all have our moments. Glad to hear that the optispark did fix the problem. I'll never forget when my dad was saying we were going to move my engine-less Camaro out into the driveway for the winter. I was like "But the brake lines are disconnected so how am I supposed to push the brake in to take it out of park?!" Dad: "Uhm... ...you have no transmission in there... so it will just roll..." Me: " Oh yeah... "

So new problem has arose. It idles way low like 650rpm and I went to drive around the block and it stutters. Throttle response is way down. I was thinking vacuum line disconnected but I am pretty sure a disconnected vacuum causes high rpm? Any ideas? Did I install the Optispark wrong? I mean it starts right up was around 1000 for a bit now its way low.

Possible the plug wires burned on headers again?

                      • Because idling in my drive way it was fine at 1000 rpm then after it warmed up a little and went for a drive it started doing that. I am pretty sure I pulled the sensors back in I will double check though.

                        • Make sure all the spark plug wires are ordered correctly on the optispark. Mine ran but I had two wires mixed up.

                          • Could I have installed the Optispark wrong? Cause when it starts up instead of going to like 1200 to warm up it goes to like 1000 and when it warms up it drops to the 650. I made sure the elbow was on correctly to make sure all air was being metered during closed loop and then I even tried unplugging the the MAF to send it into open loop and still had the problem. The right bank is really hard to tell what plug wire goes where so I will try and double check to make sure they are all in the correct firing order.

                            • I reconnect the right bank and 99% sure everything is in the correct order on that side.

                              • is your IAT plugged back in? sounds like you have something not plugged in correctly.
