im actually not finished modifying the hood yet. Its still a snug fit against the lid, but i called it quits yesterday. My back was killing me and i didnt want to breath anymore fiberglass. I need to find a better way to cut that stuff.Originally posted by MeenZ28 View PostAny pics of the underside of the hood? I'd like to see what was modified to make this work.-Joel

Call me retarded here but what's the huge deal? What does the stock air box on an LT1 car look like? None of my LT1 cars have ever had a factory air box, they've all had CAI's2010 Chevrolet Camaro 1SS/RS - My DD

It's not necessarily the airbox itself that's the issue - it's that a straight flow (lid to intake) is hella more efficient than an elbow intake that the LT1s normally use.- Brian Meissen

it has been proven (simply by people datalogging) that the stock intake elbow, even with no filter at all is responsible for a loss in KPa in high RPMs that the LS1 lid does not suffer from. Many guys on LS1 tech have claimed 1-2 mph gain in the quarter mile and a couple tenths as well.Originally posted by 2000Durahoe View PostCall me retarded here but what's the huge deal?
