so my dad was driving my car home on the free way, said the oil pressure dropped the car started smoking and he pulled over. And it would not restart, so my step mom and I had to get his F250 and car hauler and tow it home, luckily it was only about 15 min away. I get the car into the garage and the oil is nasty and black and smelled burnt, a little later i try to start the car and it starts right up, idles okay but when you touch the throttle the slightest it starts to knock, my dad and i decided that if we are to put a motor into it again it will be an lt1
my question really is what is the difference between a caprice's lt1 and a camaros, other the the aluminum?
they seem cheeper
also i think i need a 96, 97 lt1 and trans didnt they switch to the 4l60e in 1996?
