Why not just weld on the block off plate if your concerned?

I always weld em. I hate block off plates plus it looks cleaner

The only way you are going to blow off a block off plate is if you backfired through your intake HARD.

Blowing a 1/4 inch alum. plate with 2 screws in it covering a 5/8 hole is near impossable unless you are a Top Fuel car with a bad case of heart burn.

            You don't even see them!
They are on the back of the intake, + he is running a stock motor so he shouldn't have a problem.

Guys I think hes talking about the block offs for the headers, those are known to blow off, not the actual plate but the whole thing where it attaches to the primary.

Exactly, which is why I said just get long tubes and then you don't have to worry about them. He wasn't talking about the intake blowing off..

I believe that Anthony is referring to headers that have emissions provisions. They make long tubes that have a big tube sticking out the top where you hook EGR/AIR to. Then they make the regular long tubes that don't. That is why the regular ones say, "for offroad use only".

wow, things got a little crazy here today. lol

yeah I have long tubes. race style with no air/egr. According to lpp they have 02 bungs welded onto the collector so that helps too.

Yessir, one in the header at or before the merger (can't remember which) and then they have the bungs in the Y-pipe.
