also if its a auto your gonna want a special tool for locking the flexplate or flywheel to break the crank bolt loose and tighten it. I find it best to break loose with a strong impact gun but you need to lock it to tighten it back up, a screwdriver will work but bends the flexplate pretty good. If you a six speed I think you can put the car in 5th gear for this and be just fine. Anything else just ask I've done it a few times

Impact guns work really good to get the bolts out.

I was gonna buy one on ebay a few weeks ago and my dad looked at it, then turned to me and said let me make something for ya. If he takes too long I'll be driving out to Oxford Larry.

there is a couple different kinds. some hold the balancer. I have the OTC dealer piece that holds the flexplate. I also have the front/rear cover and pan alignment stuff along with the dual spring vinci tool and two different sets of lifter holders

Jeff do you have all the tools necessary to do a cam swap? Do you feel confidant enough to get it done in one day and correctly and not F*** up my car when I decide to get one?

I'm betting I could do it in a day but like I said I've never done the springs and I hear they are a ***** so I'm sure that'll slow me a little. Yes I have most all the tools as well, I definatly have the best pulley puller ever and I will have a nice flexplate holder soon.

Oh I thought you did your springs. Well than I guess we'll have to make it a 2 day project. How long do you think it'll take to throw on the LS6 intake? And is my car gonna run like shit if I don't get it tuned right after the headers and intake?

An intake swap should take about an hour and a half at most, the car will run perfectly fine with the exhaust and intake but should be tuned to optimize the combo and of course get rid of those damn SES lights. I have my stock throttle body sitting at the shop if you wanna throw that on your car and send yours out to get ported and polished

I was planning on it when we put in the headers. If I get my tax return before we do this (I think I will) I'll get the intake and we can throw that in as well if that's cool.

No it will run fine. It wont make all the power but it will run fine.

And take Jeff's TB and send yours out to get P&P'ed. Its cheap power right there too.

And don't even thinking about getting a cam until you get a converter dude. You will be sorry.
