sounds good man, i was told that if you actually polish the top of the pistons with a polish compound it helps reduce carbon sticking to the pistons

if its true or not idk

Ive got both heads off now, but apparently i forgot to take a picture of the engine bay....oops. I already found my car had the good heads, and I have now also confirmed it has the hardened pushrods indicated by the hardness testing mark. I wonder if I got lucky enough to get the 4-bolt main too? Unfortunately that one will have to remain unanswered. Below you also see my attempt to organize everything.

Looks good joel, I like your system of organization, better than what I would have done, which probably would have been put ALL the bolts in one big cup, haha.

yea f-body LT1s are two bolt main. There were some lucky 94s and 95s that got the corvette block (4bolt) when supply was short.

It's not a length issue. It's a wear issue. Putting them back in the same place as they came out isn't that hard, and it can avoid some problems.

I am not taking the chance of reusing the pushrods anyway even though they are factory hardened.

I have new pushrods and a length checker in the mail.
