Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
Still the best quote of the night was when we were working with the pulley puller and he so non-shalontley(cant spell that) says, "oh yeah, out of all my tools this is the one I trust the least..." and everyone kinda just looks at each other like i aint doin it.
p.s. How much for the Honda Cub? Lmao

lol yes, i bet it is. The bolts are torqued the eff down and getting way back under the cowl with needing so much force would be a pain. Even with the motor out of my car we still needed a breaker bar to get those head bolts loose, i bet breaking them loose under the cowl and re torqueing them down is a lot of fun! Let me know if you need a hand Joel! Just give me some notice and i'll free up the afternoon!
he joel is jon helping you again soon? was wondering if i could bring my car out a we maybe mess with my idle while we work on the hot rod since the 1300 rpms is not cutting it
btw dave does do porting, not sure what he'd charge since we were laughing when we were talking about how well my heads flow one day cause i asked if porting was even worth it lol

5) What is that? I don't remember that being there on Kolin's 93. Maybe its on 94+ cars or I just disconnected it?
you can kind of see it in the pics further down in this post. there are two wires that run front-to-back on the engine, on each side of the intake (if it was there) and then there is a bridge between the two. Theres no way to disconnect it that i see, and the damn thing is constantly in the way.

im sure he will be over again more than once before this car is back on the road. I have a TON to do on this thing.
Ill have to talk to dave about porting. I might not even have the passenger side head off by monday like i had planned. The driver side was the easy one and it took me 6 hours.
Although a complete pain in the ass, ill say it went pretty smooth. Definitely not impossible. If i had found my dads 3/8s universal from the start, it would have gone a LOT faster. The biggest problem i had was coolant. I was trying to keep this swap CLEAN because that is very important... but as soon as i pull the head I see a cylinder filled with coolant and gasket material everywhere
I cleaned it up best i could, i hope it doesnt cause problems.
there is no way you'll be able to remove that "bridge" wire without taking out half the wiring harness
although if you un-clip the plastic wire-loom clip (the plastic things that hold the wiring in place) that is attached to the AC box it will give you enough slack to move it behind the engine
Hey Joel I forgot to ask do you want those lifters? Just pay shipping and have them...or pick them up
i was hoping to grab them from you last night, didnt work out that way. I'll see what the week brings. I work in auburn hills so i could probably stop after work and pick them up.
