If you take the radiator support off, you get a little room to pull all of that out of the way. I did it when I changed my opti, but then again, I took the condenser out all together.

So wait. . . Does this mean that I can take the torch and try to make the fastest 'Bolt-On's Only' LT1 F-Body? I think I might do that. . . Do heads and intake count as "Bolt On's?"

The cam bearings are probably fine I read up on z28 that the front bearing is known to look a lil different due to the water pump being up front. I know mine looked fine. If your going to spin any bearing its going to be a rod or main bearing. Look up cam bearings on z28.

thats exactly what i told my dad (hes the one paranoid about it). its not like the cam bearings are going to have a lot more stress on them, like those will.Originally posted by klrlt1 View PostIf your going to spin any bearing its going to be a rod or main bearing.-Joel

yea if i had left the heads and oil pump alone I wouldve had this sucker done in a weekend. I dont regret it though, i think its gonna be a pretty good combo.Originally posted by klrlt1 View PostWe worked on mine Friday Saturday and Sunday all 3 days and got it done. We got some tuning to do to it. I love the way it runs and sounds.
