Yet to go to the tracks, but this summer I'm making it a point to go. Haven't done any mods, so I'm assuming it won't be impressive.

my best is a 15 flat in my truck. with lots of spin. im still waiting to get the vid back on that. but i have a vid of me going 15.4 with so much spin its retarded. infact tim has it. soon you allw ill have a vid up of my cam brake in. i know JP2002ls1 knows about my swap cuz he and chris talk all the time. but yeah the break in might be next weekend on sunday. all depends on what we get done during the week. and march is nothing but morons. im finding this out. the brackets dont work that i ordered. they are hte right ones. but ic ant get the power steering pulley to align. weve spent prolly 10-12 hrs fiddling with it and just decided to scrap it for now. put it on after the break in. brakes are bled. im still debating how i want to run the exhaust. car will be like a daily driver so im thinking x pipe. the whole thing witht he PS pump is ticken us both off. the guages are done im yet to take a photo of them in the panel but i have a pic of hte panel after getting it back from ther Powder Coaters. which ill post for you all. Im having trans problems too. its leaking from the drain plug. and the rear seal is leaking a little. cant figure out why that is i think the drain plug is from sitting it on the pan for like 6 mnts waiting to install it. the pan is getting replaced neway. but that means the 8 qts that are in the trans have to all get drained and the 1hr it took to put them in is goign to have to happen again.FYI After market stuff may make it seem easier but its not. i found this out with my trans crossbrace from BMR they made it a half inch off. the holes i had to slot over a half inch to get it to line up with the tranny mount. every time we take a step in the right direction we get booted two back. it seams. good news is i think we are goign to start it up sunday as i stated before. so april 3rd. is what it look like to me. and if we get it in for an alignment monday. and get the PS stuff figured out. then we are all set.
                later.
                John.
P.s. Tim Ill call u during the week or talk to you on aim about taping that for me. my Camcorder still works for pictures but wont tape.

Sounds good so far guys. Devonemer, sounds like you have a sweet ride, and your wife as well. When you post your times and mods please let us know where you are from so we can look out for your cars on the road and at tracks, shows, etc. This is a small world so I hope to run into some of you guys this summer.

I no longer have a 4th gen but I have owned two of them and love them. I will own another one in the future but for now my summer car is a 1985 vette which I hope to keep forever but just add on to my collection. I built it for high speed autocross but I ran mid 12's last year in the 1/4, with my new mods it should be faster this year. I'm from South Lyon, MI and I plan to spend a lot of time at Milan dragway and at local autocross events. My vette is black with a hood scoop and ZR1 wheels if anyone sees me feel free to say hello.

ask chris when we plan on starting my car if you wanna stop by for it. His Internets been out for a couple weeks now. they didnt give him the right drivers for hte modem, and his OS isnt acknowledging the drivers for the network card. so hes been SOL lately.

two years ago in my 2001 Z with stock gears, m-6, 125 shot, loud mouth, lid, k & n, 160 thermo, and a few suspension pieces I went 12.91 @ a very very fast 122mph. this was with a 2.6 second 60ft on stock rubber. ive since then done a lot of suspension, 410's, about to do my truen duals and edelbrock long tubes this weekend. went last sept to milan with no juice and ran a 14.60 at soemthing on 315/35R17 sumitomos. I think the 410's hurt me a lil cause i try to take it easy when im at the track. milan is pretty far away from royal oak and id hate to break down there. plua i only got 3 runs with the 410s cause some a$$hole broke a rear and they spent like 2 hours cleaning. I hate it when people break. id imagine Im good for at least 12's anytime on spray. have my cam and my top end sitting in my closet, but i kinda want to wait till i get some heads before i do that install. i need to upgrade my efilive to flashscan too though. not enough time or money...
