ive never heard of a fuel pump throwing a code before. i suppose it could lead to other codes getting thrown as a result.

lets start with the basics... do you hear the fuel pump priming? F-body fuel pumps are plenty audible, i can even hear mine in the car if i have the windows up.

um hatch motor? Im not aware of any 4th gens having a power trunk latch. But yes, it is similar to that sound. you should hear it when you turn the power on. it will shut off after a few seconds if you dont start the motor, but will remain on when the engine is running.

ok here's a video of my car starting after i installed headers. it should sound at least this high pitched (and id say my battery was a little low at this time so mine is usually higher)

hmmm I know my third gen has one, I pop this one with remote trunk release but it doesn't pull down like the fire turd does so i would say that is the fuel pump i heard
              (sorry kind of think typing)
btw code came on today at first right after i got on it pretty good stayed on till i shut the car off. Next time time I started it the check engine light was gone. Drovr for about 20 min, light came back on stayed on gor about 10 mins, then was gone. Any ideas?

no sputtering and I have ran the car up to 5K at almost WOT. Only thing that I have noticed is when take it out of gear at slow speeds(around town) there is a slight vibration. Other than that it runs great from what I can tell. When trying to start it feels like it is RIGHT on the edge of firing. Almost like only one cylinder will fire and then others don't.

You should check your fuel pressure ASAP.

Wouldn't start worth shit, but pretty much ran fine, until you tried to start it again.
