Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Interesting kyle... the last time i had a fuel pump die on me I was driving home with my foot to the floor in second gear trying to maintain 3000 RPM and 30 mph.
Yeah, well, mine wasn't dead - but it would take MINUTES of cranking to get a few sputters and then have it barely sputter to life...and then it was fine! - so it was near dead, for sure.
Gone but not forgotten: 1986 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z
no I forgot about that lol.... but all these things are making me think it can't be fuel related. Although could be weak through entire rpm and I wouldn't know since I have only had this car for a week? But I would think it would stutter alot and it isn't

can't scan it right now, have to have a dealership do it, and even if i do it could come back as an o2 sensor running lean, WTF does that mean. Most people on this forum have more experiance than me, and as long as they are willing to help I will ask for it

From what you are describing, it still sounds like a fuel pump...
I had a 94 LT1, when i got it it first, i would have to crank it over twice to get it to start. Once it was running, it ran great, full power up to redline. Then one time when i was kind of low on fuel (like 1/5th of a tank of gas left) it died.
Replaced the pump (trap door of course) and then it would fire up instantly.
i have been having a similar prpoblem with my 96. and been chasing my tail running in circles trying to find the problem..
new plugs, wires, Throttle position sensor, crank position sensor, fuel filter, and the list goes on...
finally broke down and bought a fuel pressure tester, ( didn't want to cause i have one at home..) and poof.. no pressure.. at all.. im talking the needle doesn't even move.. so i bought a new pump and hopefully thats it.
youd be better off just testing the fuel, and seeing what it is.. it soudns alot like my car, only mine won't idle, and has no power past 3 k. so prolly not as advanced as mine..
hope this all helps!

Check engine scanned today, sticky EGR. That's going bye bye as soon as I work this problem out anyway. Fuel pump appears to be working fine as I can hear it. Could it be my fuel pressure regulator? Fuel pump could be pumping fine, but it won't hold pressure in the rail?
