Mike makes a lot of good points, first off a converter is the only mod you will need at all to get into the low 13s I bet you could even pull off some high 12s wth a good DR. Make that first on your list and right behind it add a trans cooler ($60) Secondly buy some pacesetter longtubes with an off road y-pipe. Lastly get the car TUNED BY A PROFESSIONAL box tuners won't do shit and can often hurt performance. These three things should cost under 2K and make it an easy mid 12 second car. PEROID
      Doing less with more

Yep, that's a good one. The Vinci programmer is supposed to be good too.

Well I at least got her the horsies, she can deal with the hooking up. She doesn't believe me she won't hook. She can have fun though.

All right, due to you just saying this I was on the last step to ordering the tune. I stopped...so now you have to tell me where to go to get it tuned.

Also, where can I buy a good tranny cooler??

I agree. You can get a bolt on car like hers tuned for about $300 and yeild MUCH better gains than any hand held could ever dream of giving you.

Don't waste your money on a hand held IMO. I would recommend Dr.Phil to tune the car as he tunes by the job not a flat rate and in your case having only a bolt on car wont really cost to much. Set up a time, drop your car off, have lunch with Jeff and I, Pick your car up in a few hours time. If he is not busy he can have it done that day I would like to think.

Website, location, phone number?? It sounds pretty good to me...I'm guessing this is out near GR?? I don't mind the drive I just have to get the exhaust and stall in first. I can do exhaust maybe but the stall

Its metro Detroit, Macomb to be exact. Jeff can shoot you some of his info as he got his car tuned over there.

He can put the converter in also but that will be a few more $$ of course.

Because I like it simple...pick out a tranny cooler for me and put up a link. There's too many to choose from...are they pretty easy to install?? Never done one of those either. Jeez...I'm going to be learning a little bit.

                              http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...mid=20&sid=116

The 24,000(first one on the list) should be sufficient.

                              EDIT:
                              http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Same part number for a better price

Okay, cool!! That's where I lived about 6 months ago for a while. My grandparents live at 14 and gratiot and I lived with them for a few months. So I'm familiar with the area. As soon as I get my car back from getting some stuff done () I can get moving on getting her stuff done. Actually I may be able to do the stuff with just rhino ramps. The exhaust portion of things...you get the headers hooked up, you attatch the y-pipe (welded or bolted?), and then you probably have to cut back part of the stock exhaust and attatch it?? As far as the stall converter goes I'm almost positive I'll have it installed. I hate tearing into that stuff, especially on a car I don't know too well. So I should only need a day to get it done, then I can come down and have it tuned on a saturday or something. I want to get it all done, and then have her drive it. That'd be awesome to give it back to her all done.
