  • my first 1st gen

Instead of going out at midnight for my 21st birthday like most people, I decided to hop in the truck and drive 8 hours to get my new project. Don't know much about 1st gens, but its a 67 (don't know the model?) and was originally a 4 speed v8 and emerald turquoise. Has all the tags still there and a clean title. I paid $2200 for it, which may be too much considering it's just the shell but from what I've seen on eBay, I got a pretty good deal. No interior or drive train. Body needs work and floors need to be replaced along with trunk pan. Rocker on drivers side needs fixing, and the read quarters need some work. Pretty good starter I think, but it'll take me awhile.

WOW! Very cool!! Thanks for saving another 1st gen! That will be a VERY sharp car when your done!
      Congrats.

Have someone run those #'s on the tags. Who knows it might be a really rare find.

Looks like a nice project! What are the plans? Taking it back to orginal or doing something custom?

From what I've seen online with the tag decoders, it's a pretty common car. Nothing too special. I still don't know what model it is though, can anybody help with that? The guy said he thought it was an RS.

Ya know, I'm not to sure at this point. Probably just a restomod. A little bit of custom but mostly the same.

                    It's definitely NOT an RS.
They are the ones with the hide away headlights (among other things). I can't believe someone even tried to tell you that. I would not trust anything the seller told you if that's what he thought.

That THING on the hood is a copy of a Corvette L-88 hood scoop. Very popular back in the day. They are found more often on 2nd Gen Camaros (think Baldwin-Motion Camaro)
