im really surprised at how many people like the challenger better here. really the challenger didnt seem like a new concept at all, just a direct clone of the '70. Seriously if i wanted a nice challenger Id just go buy the real thing that was already sold 37 years ago and have more fun with that anyway

You can't buy an original hemi Challenger for the $45,000 that the SRTs are supposed to sticker for.

And they're going to make a bizillion Camaros...they'll be hot for the first few months, and then tail off.

Only 40,000 Challengers a year...maybe 3500 SRTs...

Guess I'll have to see where they're at when they're both released...

who says you need an original hemi. Ive got an uncle with a 440 6 pack and trust me that works just fine.

Agreed...actually I would prefer that...unfortunately, an original 440-6 Challenger is still twice what the new $45,000 SRT price is targeted at...

Hell, an original 383 Challenger goes for $60K in #2 shape...

most likely ill stick with my ride for a while...maybe ill keep it around and drop an LS6 and some other little goodies on the side and keep it just the way it is...even though TAs cant really be considered "sleepers" because everyone knows about em....but ive got my heart set on runnin the pants off of those mustang guys and their damn Cobras...cant stand the ego of the cobra owners lol

If i start putting alot of money into mine than ill wait but iff not ill probaly wait till 2011 to get one. Ide like to get something with some special option like the berger one but ill probaly end up getting just the z/28 or which ever has the base v8. I do wish they had t-tops though. Im not a big fan of converts but i like the look of the 5ths with the top down.

I want to get one but them things cost too damn much. I will admitt that I am not a big lover of them mustangs--they are sucky when it comes to speed but da bodies are sexy. All you mustang hatas gotta admitt that the 09 maro looks almost identical to da body of them mustang gt machs....maybe its just me . I feel like Chevy has taken a nice lookin body and put it to da better performin ride. I think alot of mustang lovers will soon be converted to maroism. Nobody could really like da mustang for its speed capability, if they do they are GAY.

If I had the money I would be getting a 4th Gen Z and putting money into that instead of getting a 5th gen Camaro. The 5th gen may have the power under the hood, but the looks don't attract me...
