LT1 or LS1 versions? LS1 front ends look like german chrylser Sebring, rear end looks like japanese maxima (or is it integra?). LT1 front looks like Prelude, or something like that.

Maybe that's how the older crowd feels, but I'd never take a 2nd gen over a 4th. Nothing wrong with them, everyone has their own opinions and tastes, but the only gens I'd ever jump to buy is a 1st or 4th... and soon 5th.

IMO the 70-73 2nd gens were the cleanest sexiest camaro's ever. Eventually when I get around to building my 80 back together, it may very well get a 72 split bumper front end. Then the LS1 4th gen is my 2nd fav, then the LT1 4th, then 1rst gen, and the 3rd gens are my least favorite. The 5th gen will be bumping the 3rd gens up the list when we start seeing them.Comment

The 09 is a good looking car, but it's not for me.
Same for the 1st gen camaros, but the 1st firebirds were ugly.
There were some nice 2nd gen Camaros, but the T/As were the best looking.
Age of SD455! Got a buddy with a 79 TA 400 4spd... awesome!
The 79 Z28 is my favorite Camaro (see it on Ebay... a day or so left).
There were some nice 3rd gens... Not counting the 90HP 4cyl's
How can you not love the GTA?
And while craftsmanship on the Fbodies has been traditionally shakey, the 3rds were really weak.
But my all time favorite is the TA LS1 4spd WS6!
...of course, the Z28 vert is OK too.
