Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
Like the title states, I finally got a new DD. Its a 2006 GXP with 75,000 miles and a couple mods. So far I love it. It looked good before all the bugs, I forgot to bring some mist and shine.
sigpic2000 NBM SS M6 #7996 Dyno tuned, LS6 intake, SLP mass and lid, MSD wires, TR5's, LT headers, Borlamouth, suspension mods, 17 by 11 ZR1's at all four corners with NITTO NT05'S. WANNABE AUTOCROSSER
Yep, its the LS4. Your right the trans are not the best, but this one was replaced at 53,000 miles. They do better with a good shift kit and big trans cooler witch it has already.

Ahh thats good. I didn't know they came up with solutions for them, I just knew they sucked because its pretty hard on a front wheel drive transmission with a V8 strapped to it.
She is nice looking though, but the rims aren't so much to me. What size are they like 20s or something? Hahah.
Need to be British and call it a Saloon, much better sounding than sedan.

Yes TJ they're 20's. Not my first choice in rim but, they can be changed. I want to find a good set of stockers, or maybe some bonniville GXP rims.

They didn't, they just throw in cert rebuilds that just go to shit like the first ones. But my GF's gxp is at 72k miles on the stock trans and it shifts fine, but the trans has been tuned and DoD shut off. (yes DoD has been linked to trans failure)... You should be on the right path with the trans cooler and shift kit. They are pretty nice cars though, we have had ours since 30,000mi, now its at 72,000mi and the only thing we have replaced is brakes, tires, and water pump.
